Operation Santa Claus Online Donation

 

Operation Santa Claus (OSC) is a year-round program that provides gifts and toys to Orange County's most vulnerable children, many of whom have endured abandonment, neglect or abuse and consequently were placed into a foster care program. OSC also provides new holiday gifts to children of disadvantaged families who are receiving services from the County of Orange.

OSC is a County of Orange Board of Supervisors approved program and is the only official County holiday toy drive. Last year, the program distributed over 19,000 new gifts and toys to children who might otherwise go without. This program would not be possible without the generosity and collaborative effort of County of Orange employees, churches, businesses and individuals in the community who play an important role in collecting toys for the children we serve.

OSC is coordinated and maintained by the Social Services Agency, with support from community volunteers. Over 350 volunteers from County agencies and the community have been the backbone of OSC since its inception.

The Operation Santa Claus program has greatly expanded and continues to look for opportunities to give back to the community. What began as a small attempt to meet the needs of a handful of children in 1962 has become a major event for the community.
